Breast Cancer Awareness at Meridian Hospitals

I was at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel this morning and will soon be on to Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, NJ.

Both of these hospitals are Meridian facilities and act as feeder hospitals to discharge their patients to our magnificent Regency Park Nursing and Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center, located just minutes away in Hazlet.

The Regency Park Post-Acute Care Center is a singular 5 star rated facility by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

Well, just as in previous years, Meridian is painting the town pink, to raise awareness for breast cancer.

I blogged it last year when I visited Riverview Hospital in Red bank and I actually participated in one of their events.

This morning, I noted all of the pink decals at Bayshore Hospital.

When I’m done in the Hazlet, Holmdel, Red Bank Area (Regency Park is the very best nursing home in the area), I will be visiting the breathtaking Regency Jewish Heritage Post-Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Somerset, NJ!!

Regency Jewish Heritage has also earned the coveted 5 Star Rating for Excellence!!!

We are proud of it too!

My Visit to Meridian at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation Center

I had occasion today to visit the Meridian at Shrewsbury Subacute Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Shrewsbury New Jersey.

Meridian at Shrewsbury benefits from subacute discharges from the Riverview hospital in nearby Red Bank, New Jersey.

On my way in, a resident actually begged me for a cigarette outside the main door and right in front of a no-smoking sign. I thought that was cute (good thing I don’t smoke, so I was hardly helpful)!

I do think I’m spoiled at Regency and I’m not ashamed to admit it 😉 Our post acute care program is one of its kind in the Hazlet, Red Bank and Shrewsbury areas.

At Regency Park Nursing and Rehab right next door in Hazlet, our staff all wear perpetual smiles on their faces and are CONSTANTLY chipper! They really have no reason not to be smiling. They love Regency and Regency loves them in return. The residents and families love them and the staff love their residents and families right back – and fiercely so!

NOBODY does post-acute rehabilitation like we do!
We are AWESOME and our transitional care program is innovative and singular.

Sure it is convenient for me to say that, but the salient point is that the vaunted industry watchdog, CMS.gov, agrees with my assessment and there is no greater compliment than that!

Meridian Shrewsbury is a nice place (see the pictures below), but I’m used to nice places – after all, I live at Regency Park!

We get plenty patients from the Red Bank and Shrewsbury areas who come to us just ten minutes away in Hazlet for our unrivaled rehab program and our fantastic amenities.

Rehab Facilities Near Riverview Hospital in Red Bank

Yesterday, I went to visit a patient at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ.

Riverview is a beautiful hospital located in what is considered an affluent area. We have an excellent relationship with Riverview Hospital and we accept many of their subacute patients to our beautiful facility, Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Hazlet NJ.

I captured this photograph yesterday while standing in the lobby of the hospital. This room overlooks the bay and the panorama is exceptionally beautiful and therapeutic.

There is another rehab facility located near Riverview hospital. They are the Meridian Nursing and Rehab facility at Shrewsbury.

Regency Park Nursing and Rehab and the Meridian Rehab in Shrewsbury, are both viable options for families with loved ones who are being discharged from Riverview Hospital and are in need of therapy and rehabilitation before they go home.

Regency Park has a well deserved reputation in the community for stellar and compassionate care in a warm and homey environment.

Riverview hospital doesn’t just afford excellent medical care. They are also very active in the community.

In fact, they are about to host a “Paint the town pink day”, to fight breast cancer and there are pink bows and signs all over Red Bank advertising this upcoming event.
