I paid a visit to several patients last night at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel New Jersey.
If you have a loved one at Bayshore Hospital who is going to require in-patient Post-acute therapy in a rehabilitation center nearby, consider the heralded 5 star Regency Park Post-acute Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, located just two minutes away in Hazlet, NJ.

5/2/2013 – Today, we hosted an absolutely magnificent Centenarian event at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hazlet NJ. (View the photos below.. but you’ll have to read through this first 😉
The event was organized by our very own Corporate Director of Marketing, Mrs. Marie Barnes.
Marie is beloved by the Regency family for her exceptional compassion and for her meticulous and precise dedication which she brings to her work. This was most apparent in today’s beautiful event.
We had numerous centenarians (all of whom looked younger than their respective ages!) from our facility, as well as from Bayshore Healthcare Nursing and Rehab and other rehab facilities in the Hazlet/Holmdel area.
The scrumptious repast was masterfully prepared by our Chef, Aaron Anderson and we had live entertainment with music and song.
The centenarians felt so special sitting all bedecked in their custom made sashes and tasteful fresh rose lapels. Truly, this was a well deserved moment for them to shine surrounded by their grateful and loving families.
Our Regency staff and department heads were also on hand to welcome everyone to our home and to make everyone feel comfortable.
Our Administrator, Mr. Joseph Bernfeld, gave an emotional address, where he proclaimed that today’s unique event is more than just a “birthday to honor a milestone, it is also a celebration of life itself!”
Truer words were never spoken!
The event was capped off with a special dessert in the form of a HUGE custom made birthday cake for our centenarians (wasn’t just pretty, but actually quite delicious too)!
I am so proud of our staff and the entire Regency family.
Regency Nursing is truly a place where the “quality of care comes to life!”

During the recent Hurricane Sandy which wrought devastation across a large swathe of the Tri Sate Area, the Regency Nursing and Rehab Centers across New Jersey received numerous accolades from all sectors of the healthcare industry for their incredible handling of the crisis.
In fact, Regency Nursing Centers in Hazlet and Wayne New Jersey were specifically recognized by the local hospitals for admitting countless evacuees, which was further facilitated by the relaxation of the CMS guidelines.
Bayshore Hospital in the Holmdel/Hazlet area of New Jersey singled out the Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center located on Highway 35, for their invaluable assistance in accepting and caring for the many patients who were in desperate need of medical care and shelter.
Of the several nursing facilities in the area, including Bayshore Healthcare, Arnold Walter, Laurel Bay and Care One in Holmdel, Regency Park stood out as a beacon of help and assistance during this time of need.
The compassionate and enthusiastic support which they extended to the local hospitals went above and beyond all expectations and was greatly appreciated!
