Monmouth County To Honor Centenarians

From The Desk Of Marie Barnes, Regency Corporate Marketing and Public Relations Director.

In celebration of older Americans Month in May, Monmouth County honors and commemorates Monmouth County residents reaching the hallmark age of 100.

Regency Park Post-Acute, Rehab and Nursing Center is proud to announce they will host for those residents of Monmouth County who will be 100 years old in 2015, or older, a celebration event.  In partnership with Monmouth County Office on Aging, those “celebrity” residents are invited for a luncheon, music, gifts, a Monmouth County Proclamation for the Centenarians, and birthday cake.  Monmouth County Freeholder, John Curley will be in attendance and presenting the guests of honor with proclamations commemorating their centenarian status.

The event will take place on Monday, May 11 at Noon at Regency Park, 3325 Highway 35, Hazlet, New Jersey.

Marie Barnes, Corporate Marketing and Public Relations Director for Regency, stated, “Regency is proud to co-host this event with the Monmouth County Office on Aging.  It is a wonderful opportunity for the Centenarians and their families to gather and share their stories, which are truly amazing.”  Barnes added, “We are also proud to announce we are world record holders, and listed in the publication of the 2015 Anniversary Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records for the “Largest Gathering of Centenarians”.  Regency attempted the record in May, 2013, and in the first attempt beat the record held in London”.

If you know a Centenarian who would like to attend this great celebration of life, please send their name, address, phone number, and a copy of their birth certificate to the Monmouth County Office on Aging at 21 Main and Court Center, Freehold, NJ 07728.  For additional information, please call 732-431-7450.

We Tip Our Hat To David G. Of Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehab Center, Hazlet NJ

During the hot summer months, families will sometimes take a break from hectic city life to enjoy some R&R at select vacation destinations.

One such ‘summer hotspot’ and a staple for many people over the years, is the Catskill Mountain region in N.Y.S.

Families living in the Tri-State area enjoy the lazy days of summer in bungalow colonies and summer homes up in the Catskill Mountains.

Well, the other day, I was perusing a weekly magazine for the upstate community when I came across the ‘Weekly League Standings’ page for the Official Bungalow Colony Baseball League.

Each week, they highlight a “Player of the Week” for special recognition.

I took a close look at the photo and caption for this past weeks’ superstar and lo and behold it is for Mr. David Gottleib, whose Father Mr. H Gottleib, is our industry colleague and is one of the owners of the Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Hazlet NJ!

We are virtually unrivaled in all aspects of patient care, including in the many varied activities we offer throughout the week. Each day is chock full of activities, concerts and special events.

As such, we have a special appreciation for sports activities and we salute Mr. Gottleib on this distinction and honor and we offer him our best wishes!
