Important Message From Regency Nursing Centers

Message From Our President

Dear Family of Loved Ones and Honored Staff,

At the request and mandate of the State of NJ Department of Health, Regency Nursing Centers has set up a separate unit in Regency Jewish Heritage and Regency Grande to assist with the nationwide Covid-19 pandemic.

We have maintained a perfect facility with no one contracting the Covid virus. This was primarily achieved by the excellent protocols we developed and implemented very early on and the strict adherence to those, by you as family and our superb staff.

We now care for those in our community requiring care for the Covid virus but not those in crisis mode. Anyone with extreme symptoms will be transferred to the hospital.

We have spent time in carefully setting up the unit and it is completely isolated with no staff migrating between other units. These areas are protected by a double air-lock where designated staff change in to full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). This also allows for supplies and equipment to be transferred in the proper environment. All meals are served on fully disposable materials so nothing is brought back to the kitchen.

The staff on the quarantined unit have their own sealed rooms for their meals and breaks and even their own time clock. While all staff are receiving Bonus pay for their unique dedication in this time of national crisis, the staff designated for this unit is receiving double the Bonus pay.

I am sure you all join me in appreciating their professionalism in answering the call of our government and our nation.

The units are monitored daily by Administration, nursing management and members of my personal family, including myself, Tzvi, Robert or Michael.

Should anyone in our local communities of Somerset NJ, Dover NJ and beyond, develop symptoms not requiring a continued hospital stay but rather to protect others from any potential shedding of the virus, they will be admitted to either Regency Jewish Heritage or Regency Grande until they recover.

We are also extending this service to patients who may require a temporary transfer from another subacute facility, so that they may receive dedicated care in our specialized units until they recover.

Of course, you will always be kept up to date on the care of your loved one and please feel free to reach out to the facility for any questions.

During this time the ideal method of communicating with us is via email.

G-d Bless you

G-d Bless our Staff

G-d Bless our Nation

Most Sincerely,

David Gross
