Clash Over Antipsychotic Drugs in Boston

Just came across this fascinating article regarding Physicians and consumer advocates who clashed over regulations on prescribing psychoactive drugs to nursing home residents during a recent legislative committee at the State House in Boston Mass.

Three bills — two in the Senate, one in the House — would require that doctors obtain written consent from patients or their legal representatives before prescribing antipsychotics and other powerful mind-altering drugs in nursing homes or hospitals.
