Premier Healthcare Centers and Rehab In Somerset County, NJ

Hunterdon and Somerset counties have maintained their spots at the top of the list of New Jersey’s healthiest counties.

In a study by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute released last month, Hunterdon was named the healthiest county in New Jersey for the sixth consecutive year, with Somerset in second position.

Somerset County moved into second place in 2014 and has stayed there.

“We’re delighted that we have maintained this achievement,” said Serena Collado, director of community health at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and convenor of Healthier Somerset. “Improved health requires a concerted effort on many levels, from local and county health professionals, local and county government, the business community, and the hundreds of nonprofit healthcare leaders who work in Somerset County.”

Collado said Healthier Somerset provides the opportunity for all of these sectors to work together.

“Maintaining our ranking shows the benefits of collaboration and cooperation,” Collado said.

Of course, Somerset is also home to several distinguished and high caliber hospitals and several world class skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers!

In fact, I recently visited a patient at St. Peter’s Hospital.
