Care One at King James, Navesink, NJ

The other day, I paid a visit to the Care One at King James skilled nursing and subacute rehab facility in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

Maureen Taylor is their Director of Social Services and we have a very nice working relationship. Maureen is always so nice to me and she really is a special person. Maureen has referred us some of their Medicaid cases in the past.

It is my understanding from our conversation that Care One facilities have a cap on the amount of long term Medicaid recipients they could have in their facility at any given time. When a particular Care One facility exceeds that cap, they encourage families to pursue other options. Care One being a reputable facility, is of course committed to helping their patients trasfer to a compassionate and skilled facility for long term care and that’s where Regency Park Nursing Center in Hazlet NJ comes into the equation.

Regency Nursing Centers across New Jersey are happy to accommodate patients and residents with many different payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, Respite, and Private Pay and we are thus a strategic partner to many of these facilities.

Maureen was kind enough to give me a tour of their facility as well to introduce me to several of the Administrators and Department Heads. I even took these few pictures!

They also received 2 Stars for Health Inspections, 4 Stars for Quality Measures, and 3 Stars for Nursing Staffing. Although the star ratings from CMS are not a substitute for visiting the nursing home yourself, they can assist you in comparing nursing homes by the topics you consider most important.
