It is always a great source of pride for us at Regency to witness the many worthy charities and philanthropic causes which our Founder, Mr. David Gross, is invested in.
His largesse extends well beyond his own communities and touches the lives of many people.
I recently blogged here regarding the personal invitation extended to Mr. Gross by the President of the United States to join him at the White House for a Hanukka party together with a delegation of prestigious Philanthropists and Jewish lay leaders.
Well, this week, Mr. Gross is back in Washington D.C.
He is part of a specially selected group of delegates who convened in the nation’s capital to meet with Congressional leaders to advocate on issues ranging from the security of Israel, Iran sanctions, funding for homeland security and the advancement of school choice.
The Mission opened with a private dinner Tuesday evening in the U.S. Capitol with Senator Rand Paul (R- KY) member Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Ron Johnson (R- WI) Chairman Homeland Security Committee, and Senator Robert Menendez (D- NJ) ranking member Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Meetings on Capital Hill are scheduled for Wednesday with key members of the Senate and House.
