I met a close friend the other day.
I hadn’t seen him in quite some time, during which he experienced a period of profound happiness and sadness in quick succession.
Mere words would have been cheap, so none were exchanged.
We embraced and he knew I understood… keenly understood.
I concurrently shared his joy and felt his loss.
Those of you who know me, know that I tend to favor ‘painting my words in every shade of the spectrum.”
But being verbose isn’t always indicated.
