Mrs. Venny Pineda, whose husband is one of our beloved residents at Regency Heritage in Somerset, NJ,was in for a beautiful surprise this morning at 10am!
Venny’s daughter, Emily, posted a poignant piece, with an accompanying photo on our Regency Facebook page and got some great feedback.
The winning submission posted on Facebook
Emily was subsequently declared the winner of the contest.
Venny is as devoted a spouse as ever there was, and she visits her husband almost every day.
Well, this morning, the Gross family dropped in for a surprise visit to present her with the $100 gift award for her daughter Emily!!
Their heartfelt expression of thanks to the family for entrusting Regency with the care of their loved one, and the palpable and hallmark warmth which they exuded, was deeply appreciated by Mrs. Pineda and there was nary a dry eye in the crowd!
I captured these few images!

As Part of Regency’s philanthropic efforts, we partner yearly with The Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (www.thecije.org) to host a Golf and Tennis Championship Fundraiser.
Every year, Regency distributes a gift to all of the participants in the event.
At This year’s event, Regency distributed a “Pebble Smart Watch” for Iphone and Android users.
Though I didn’t actually see the watch, I’m told it is very fancy and popular.
In appreciation of our Nursing Assistants who show tremendous heart, compassion and dedication to the welfare of our residents day in and day out, we are inviting them to a Luncheon in their honor at Regency Park!
Specifically, the magnificent outdoor Park – at Regency Park!

Carolann “CA” had a special message for us when she returned to Regency Gardens in Wayne NJ the other day, to thank us for our hard work and efforts during her recent rehab stay at our facility!
Here is what she writes (and would like to share with all of you):
My Success Story
When I got to Regency Gardens after five months sick in the hospital, the only thing I could do was stand up from my wheelchair.
When I left, I could walk and go up and down stairs! Now I cam walk without a walker or a cane and just got the ok to drive again.
Of course, since I can drive, I came back to thank all of my buddies who made it possible.
